CLINICAL PILATES, YOGA & WELLNESS STUDIO
GSMC has an on-site clinical Pilates, Yoga, and movement studio that offers classes from beginner to advanced levels. Our studio classes are designed to improve posture, strength, balance, flexibility as well as relieve stress and tension. Our programs are instructed by qualified instructors and practitioners that take into consideration the client’s injuries and special physical needs.

GSMC has an on-site state-of-the-art gymnasium called FITNESS LAB to improve your fitness, strength, and well-being. Our qualified staff will ensure that you exercise in a safe, effective, and evidence-based way to reach your goals. We have casual memberships, personal training, and group exercise for people of all ages and fitness levels.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy is an evidence-based treatment that uses physical techniques to improve movement, reduce pain and stiffness, speed up the healing process and increase the quality of life by diagnosing and managing a broad range of conditions with the bones, muscles, cardiovascular system, nerves, and other parts and systems of the body. Physiotherapists use a range of treatment techniques including acupuncture/dry needling, acupressure, massage, and exercise.
Podiatry
Healthy feet are an important part of your overall well-being.
Podiatrists are experts in the foot, ankle, and lower limb health. They can help to prevent, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions including ingrown toenails, heel and arch pain, skin & circulation problems, balance issues, referred pain, and sprains.
They can also treat foot problems that arise from underlying medical conditions such as diabetes and arthritis.
Hand Therapy
Hand therapy involves the evaluation and testing to assess the injured hand or upper limb from which a specific treatment and plan rehabilitation program is designed.
Exercise Physiology
Exercise physiology utilises knowledge of mechanical, physical, and chemical processes to prescribe effective exercise programs for rehabilitation and relief from pain and discomfort as well as to treat many chronic health conditions. Myotherapy
Myotherapy treats or prevents soft tissue pain and restricted joint movement caused by muscle or myofascia dysfunction using knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, and a range of techniques including massage, passive stretching, hot or cold therapy, trigger point therapy (acupressure), and myofascial dry needling.
Hydrotherapy
GSMC has a dedicated hydrotherapy pool to support exercise, fitness, and recovery. Hydrotherapy treatment is designed to decrease pain, increase range of movement & flexibility, as well as developing muscle strength & general fitness.
The buoyancy of the heated water assists in reducing gravity & reduces the load through your joints.
SPECIALISED WOMENS PHYSIOTHERAPY & REHABILITATION
Many women’s health issues relate to problems with the pelvis or pelvic floor, which can be caused by pregnancy or normal aging.
Physiotherapists with a special interest in women’s health can assist in areas such as pregnancy preparation, incontinence, post-natal physio, pelvic floor, and the management of older women to stay healthy, achieve their fitness goals, improve their quality of life and manage any issues that come up along the way over the course of their lifetime.
Pre and Post Joint Replacement rehabilitation
Some of the most common but not limited to are knee, hip, and shoulder replacements. They are generally considered safe and effective procedures. They can relieve pain and allow someone to be more active if medicines and other non-surgical treatments are not helping.
If you have an upcoming procedure, we will work with you and your medical team to reduce the chance of complications and maximise your surgical outcomes we can help you by:
- Working with you to achieve ready for surgery fitness.
- Weight solutions
- Working closely with your surgeon, including attending to observe your procedure – an important
information gathering exercise so we then can precisely tailor your rehabilitation - Planning your rehabilitation program including attending you in hospital on the day of surgery, or the next day for some procedures.

BROKEN BONE AND FRACTURE Rehabilitation
Our team are trained in a range of techniques that can be employed to help manage fractures and speed your recovery. Usually, physiotherapy cannot occur until after a period of immobilisation. But the management of fitness through our Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill and hydrotherapy can be implemented straight away.
