FAQs
Do you crack?
We do not just crack. While we can use manipulation as an extra technique to assist your injury it is not used in all cases. If cracking is recommended it is discussed and only done provided you as the patient are comfortable with it.
Is osteo just bones?
Osteo in the dictionary is defined as relating to the bones however as Osteopaths we can treat the whole body and not just one particular area.
How is it different to physio?
Physio and Osteo are actually quite similar. The main differences come in the way we treat. Typically physios treat a bit more through exercise and rehabilitation while Osteos are a bit more hands on. Osteopaths are also trained a bit more in the joint manipulation or cracking area.
