Podiatry
Expert care from the ground up
Your feet are your foundation — and when they’re not functioning well, everything above them can feel the strain. That’s why GSMC partners with Geelong Podiatry Group, led by experienced podiatrist Jake Sheridan, to deliver modern, evidence-based foot and lower limb care for active people, growing kids, weekend warriors and anyone dealing with pain, load issues or biomechanical imbalances.
Jake brings extensive experience in both clinical and performance-based podiatry, combining expert assessment with practical treatment plans that fit into your lifestyle, work or training load. From foot and ankle injuries to long-term load management, his goal is to improve function, reduce pain, and help you move better — from the ground up.

Podiatry can help with a wide range of conditions — whether acute, chronic or performance-related. Common concerns include:
Should I See a Podiatrist or a Physio?
While physiotherapists address a broad range of musculoskeletal issues, podiatrists have specialised training in the foot, ankle, and lower limb. If your pain originates from the foot or affects the way you walk, a podiatry consult is a great first step — particularly for chronic issues, sport-specific load concerns, or conditions like plantar fasciitis.
At GSMC, our team will guide you to the most appropriate service (and work together when needed).
