LEVEL 1 SPORTS TRAINERS COURSE
Comprehensive training for individuals who want to become qualified sports trainers, capable of providing immediate and ongoing care for athletes.
Course Mode & Duration
This course is delivered part online and part in person.
Prerequisites
- Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID011
- Current CPR Certificate HLTAID009
Course Content
- Principles of injury prevention
- Immediate injury management
- Sports taping techniques
- Common sporting injuries
- Medical conditions in sport
- Concussion management
Assessment
- Demonstration of practical skills
- Role play/scenario work
- Written assessment
Certificate
A Sports Trainer Level 1 Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The Certificate is valid for 3 years.
