COME TRAIN WITH US
The only thing better than crossing a finish line is having a team behind you.
Every Friday at 6:15 am, starting July 17th leading up to the GRF – we’re running! Join our free weekly run club — open to all abilities, all distances, no sign-up required. We launched this as part of our GRF partnership because we believe preparation is better together. Meet outside Fitness Lab, 1–5 Ballarat Road, Geelong. Lots of giveaways, good times and all levels welcome. Coffee at Eddie & Wills after every run.
All Run Club participants must sign this waiver once before commencing their first session. It remains valid for the full ten-week program — you do not need to sign each week again.

PILATES FOR RUNNING
Pilates is an ideal low-impact recovery and strength session for runners. It helps improve core strength, balance, stability and mobility while reducing the physical stress placed on joints and muscles. By strengthening the hips, glutes and trunk, Pilates can support better running form, assist recovery between runs and help reduce the risk of common running-related injuries, keeping you moving well throughout your training.
RUNNING ASSESSMENT & PERFORMANCE TESTING
Know your body before race day.
A physio-led assessment built specifically for runners. We look at how you move, where load is accumulating, and what’s most likely to cause problems — before it does. Paired with objective performance testing data, you leave with a clear picture of where you’re at and what needs to happen between now and September.
This is not a generic consultation. It’s a running-specific assessment designed to give you actionable information.
OUR PERFORMANCE TESTING INCLUDES:
- Movement and biomechanics review
- Load and training history assessment
- Injury risk identification
- VO2 max and cardiorespiratory profiling
- Lactate threshold testing
- Strength and power assessment
- Personalised training zones based on your physiology, not an app estimate
- Footwear selection
A Running Assessment is an assessment service. Individual outcomes will vary based on your training history, goals and physical presentation. Our practitioners will discuss findings and recommendations with you at the time of your appointment.
MEET YOUR GRF PERFORMANCE COACHES
Meet YAZMIN HAYES
Master of Strength and Conditioning & Conditioning Trainer and National Middle distance runner
Yaz is a national-level middle-distance runner currently training for the international circuit under Olympian Andy Buchanan. She holds an ASCA Level 2 accreditation, a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning and a Bachelor of Exercise Science — and she applies all of it to how she coaches runners. Yaz understands the demands of distance running from the inside out, which means her programming is built around what actually moves the needle: strength, efficiency and staying injury-free long enough to let the fitness show up on race day
Meet LAUREN RYAN
Physiotherapist and marathon runner
If you’re looking for a running physio who actually gets it … Lauren is it. She specialises in running injury assessment and load management, with a deep understanding of what breaks down in distance running and why. She’s completed the Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong marathons in the past year, all while managing her own injury so when she tells you that you can keep training, she means it. She has a background in high performance sports and her approach is built around biomechanics, evidence-based rehabilitation and keeping runners on the road.
